I am delighted to see the renaissance of Opera Forge, and it is a pleasure and honour to become a Patron of the resurgent Company. As well as supporting the Company, and in particular its intention to bring on UK based Wagnerian singers, for the first performances of its new life I will be involved in working with the cast alongside Kelvin Lim, on the semi-staging of Wagner’s Die Walküre (is there a greater music-drama?!).
I look forward to it enormously.
Sir John Tomlinson
I am absolutely delighted to be an Honorary Patron of the newly formed company “Opera Forge” as they embark upon their inaugural production of Wagner’s Die Walküre, which will be semi-staged by none other than the Wagnerian legend, Sir John Tomlinson, and conducted by artistic and musical director of Opera Forge, Kelvin Lim. Please support this exciting venture, which is giving much needed opportunities to Wagnerian singers. I send Opera Forge my very best wishes for this, and for all future productions.
